Welcome to Close to Nature.
Our aim is to educate, encourage awareness and respect to the many different varieties of nature in the Staffordshire Moorlands. We are very privileged to live in such a beautiful area, home to so much wildlife due to the vast variety of different habitats.
It all started a couple of years ago whilst walking slowly down by the river churnet in Leek, suddenly from out of the bushes appeared a mink, i honestly had no idea at the time what it was. I was fortunate to have my camera and took a photograph then looked it up in a book what an incredible encounter, it started me on a journey of discovery to seek out other varieties of nature that is living on our doorstep. We see these creatures and the vast abundance of nature in books but to see them face to face is such a moving experience and such a privilege.
Our Mission is to discover, photograph and video nature and to draw people “close to nature”
We now present photograph and video presentations adapted to your own requirements.
If you are interested we would love to come along and present for you at your club, school, residential home, private home, etc. Please click here to request more information.
